The "Register" has been done in a website format to hopefully make this as user friendly as possible for when it comes to submitting a recommendation. Similarly you can also submit any grievances you may have with a supplier using the "Grievances" section on the site. We are going to be using a three strike rule for these instances, so if the company has had complaints against them three times on three separate occasions (all occasions will be documented) then their company details will be removed from the register. None of the grievances will ever be featured on the site.

 

You can still submit your recommendation/s via email if you prefer to "prestonvillageregister@gmail.com" or use the new website "https://prestonvillageregi.wixsite.com/mysite".

 

As this is a public facing site no personal information will be shown on the site other than the "Agreed" Suppliers/Tradesperson/s. A "Recommended By" number will feature on each listing to show how many recommendations the company has had, so the more people who use these suppliers and then go onto use the function of submitting these recommendations the better.

 

When submitting a new recommendation (featured at the bottom of each of the pages other than the "Privacy Policy" and "Terms & Conditions") please ensure that as much information as possible is submitted in the boxes available.

 

Examples of information to submit:

All the company information that is requested in the form fields along with what work they carried out for you, what work they can do, if you felt the pricing was reasonable (there is no need to put any specifics down regarding price unless its a price that they offer as part of there existing services or discount specific for Preston residents) and any key points that you feel would help the recommendation for others.

 

Please also ensure that if they have agreed to feature on our register then please make sure that the check box at the bottom of the form is ticked. This enables the admin to proceed with the record being uploaded to the website without having to contact the Supplier/Tradesperson for their approval.

 

**A note when filling out the form, if you currently use the "Autofill" options on forms then you should find that the form auto populates your contact details for you (this is something that would have been setup by yourselves at some point and not anything to do with this register or the form on the site that we have created). If you do use the "Autofill "option then there are some flaws with this so please ensure that you are aware of these.

If you don't use the autofill option then you will be required to enter your details in for every submission.
